Emily's Story:

After first volunteering at Feeding Dreams Cambodia in January 2015, I immediately fell in love with the charity, and everything it stood for. I returned time and time again, I fundraised at home in Australia, I volunteered remotely, and in August 2017 I was offered a full-time position working at the school.. it was my dream come true.

There was no doubt it my mind that leaving my life in Melbourne was the correct decision, I moved my double Bachelor Degree of Marketing and Communications online and have been balancing full-time work with my online studies while in Cambodia.

Since working at Feeding Dreams, I have been challenged on so many levels, mentally, physically, but most of all emotionally.

Delving deeper and learning about the suffrage which the impoverished people of Cambodia endure on a daily basis, is something I cannot walk away from. The stories of survival I hear are utterly devastating.

The level of care Feeding Dreams provides for every individual that enrols in our programs, is what makes it all worth-while. Case by case, our organisation takes a holistic approach to sustainable development, and follows through with every situation with the utmost care.

Watching our programs in action and seeing first hand the growth of our students, and improved living conditions of their entire families, is beyond rewarding.

As a direct result of the Khmer Rouge Genocide, poverty in Cambodia is widespread and the need is endless. By joining me on this cycle across the Kingdom of Wonder, you will be witness to a beautiful country which is healing. You will raise substantial funds that will change the lives of children in need.

With the strong support network of my family, colleagues at Feeding Dreams, and Grasshopper Adventures the 2018 inaugural ride went better than I had ever expected.

This event brings together a group of ordinary people, who achieve extraordinary things...if you join me on this ride you will walk away a changed person.

Hope to see you in January 2019, please reach out if you have any questions.
